The title shows what this post is going to be.
No, we are not a rich family.
We do have cars.
We do have houses.
We do travel around.
We do have maids.
We do have a driver.
We do shop once in a while.
We do have nice clothes.
We do eat in restaurants or cafe.
But no. we are not a rich family.
We are a hard working family.
So, no.
It is not okay when your motorcycle scratch our cars. *curse those motorcyclists!*
It is not okay to assume that we always have money to give to the homeless.
It is not okay to ask for souvenirs or expensive items every time we went back from traveling.
It is not okay to say we are lazy cause we can't clean our own house. *we are diligent enough to work to pay their salary*
It is not okay to use our car AND our driver without our permission.
It is not okay to ask us to buy you something every time we shop.
It is not okay to ask for our used clothes just because you don't see us wearing it all the time.
It is not okay to order the most expensive food when we treat you 'just because'.
We work hard to get all those things.
We don't get heritage from our great great grandfather/mother.
We are not some government people who get money from other people's pockets.
We don't steal.
We don't cheat.
We don't beg.
We work.
That's it.
If you can't afford to buy a car, maybe it's just because you don't work as hard as us.
If you can't buy a house/apartment, maybe it's just because you can't manage your financial.
If you can't get those 'luxury' (re: travel, shopping, etc), maybe you shouldn't get married before you have your own savings.
Don't blame us for your uncomfortable life style.
Work hard.
That's the only thing we can say when you ask us, "Where did you get the money to afford all these things?"
To be able to buy my current 6 years old car, I only ate once per day during my college and uni years. I divided a $5 meal into 3 times meals *up to the point where even my housemates pitied me*.
To buy clothes or shop around, I invested my college fund in a bank and used just the interest. I had a part time job *which felt like a full time one cause I can work up to 7 hours per day*.
Yes, you can probably say it's all because of my parents. They paid for my education, they paid for my early expenses, they gave me a chance for my current job, etc. But still, it's because they work freakin hard. With the risk of reducing family quality time, they work and work and work. Some may say we are somewhat workaholic. But it's worth it. At least for us.
Why? Go back to top of this post.
So don't complaint to us.
Again, work hard..... and hope for some luck *yes, you gonna need it*.
(and don't laugh when you asked me "When will you get married?" and I answered "When I have enough money.") :D
Seems someone is bugging you.
ReplyDeleteYep its all about hardwork. But sometimes some people didnt find their luck. It also applies in entrepreneurship.
